ARTIST NOTE

The fish is a symbol of abundance and illumination, plenitude, and the deep psyche.  The fish is Christo Rey, Jesus.  Jesus is the pure invocation, the transcender of time, miracle worker, and totality in transformation, the redeemer of renewal.  Jesus as father, brother, son, friend, God; when you know him, you know his love, and so the symbol of the fish can be transpired into the symbol of loving him.  When I combine the fish with flowers, I am uniting the divine masculine with the divine feminine.  

The spirit and connection are the love made holy within the living temple where heaven and earth meet. Jesus teaches in parables that the symbol of the fish and the symbol of the flower are virtuous embodiments of humility, healing, enlightenment, empowerment, and triumphant transformation. The human body, mind, and soul can be understood through the miracles of this life. Intentional, pure, positive energy, this love creates limitless possibilities to enchant and guide us to become who we are.
